Head Over Heels [4:57]
Head Over Heels was the final project for my Filmmaking I class at Boston College. We were given free reign to do pretty much whatever we wanted with the project so long as it was filmed on Super8MM film and edited physically by hand.
I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. I've gotten a lot of compliments on the sound, which is strange because it was the last thing that I considered. For the curious, the main song in the film is "Modern Nature" by Sondre Lerche and the film features many snippets of other albums, most notably from Cursive's The Ugly Organ and Bright Eyes' Lifted or The Story is in the Soil, Keep Your Ear to the Ground.
For those curious about the "special effect" in the film, it was executed with the help of this tutorial. (Please note that clicking the link before you see the short would probably constitute a spoiler).
